How one man’s journey led to a movement in wellness
Tim Shields founded Res-Q Natural Supplements in 1985. With a Doctorate in Nutrition, he was one of the foremost authorities on eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), two of the most highly-researched omega-3 fatty acids known to provide heart health benefits.
His interest in omega-3s began shortly after being diagnosed with potentially deadly cholesterol levels at the age of 32. This struck a chord with Tim, whose own father died of a heart attack in only his 30s. He realized how critical caring for his health would be in order to see his three children into adulthood and beyond. Thus, the Res-Q brand was born.
