Every batch of Res-Q 1250 is tested to ensure purity and EPA/ DHA content. The certificate of analysis for each batch of Res-Q 1250 demonstrates that it meets and exceeds manufacturing specifications.

Res-Q 1250 only contains omega-3. Don't I need a product that contains both omega-3 and omega-6?

Omega-6 is readily obtained through diet. The average American diet contains approximately a 20:1 ratio of omega-6 to omega-3; however, the ideal ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 is 1:1.*

Can I take Res-Q 1250 and Res-Q Calamarine together?

Yes. Both products contain EPA and DHA omega-3s, whereas Res-Q Calamarine contains higher amounts of DHA than does Res-Q 1250. 

Are there any side effects in taking omega-3 fish oil?

Omega-3 fish oil is generally well tolerated. Everyone's body responds differently to natural supplements; results vary. Lower-grade fish oils have been known to cause upset stomach, and fishy breath. Better quality omega-3s often do not.

What does the "1250" stand for?

The "1250" in the product name Res-Q 1250, stands for the actual size (how many milligrams the capsules can hold) and weight (milligrams is a measurement of weight) of the capsule capacity. This means that the Res-Q 1250 soft gels can hold up to 1250 mg.

Can pregnant women, nursing mothers take Res-Q 1250?

Research shows that pregnant women, nursing mothers and the developing fetus can benefit from omega-3 (EPA and DHA) supplementation.* However, we recommend you consult with your doctor prior to starting any new supplement. 

Can I give Res-Q 1250 to my child?

Can I get enough omega-3 from eating fish?

Fish contain varying amounts of omega-3s, however to get the amounts of omega-3 proven in research to support heart health you would have to eat pounds of fish every day.* While a few servings per week is beneficial fish do contain pollutants and heavy metals so caution is needed.

Can I get enough omega-3 from flax seed oil?

Flaxseed oil is not a good source of EPA and DHA the two most researched and beneficial omega-3s. It primarily contains polyunsaturated fatty acids such as alpha-linolenic acid (ALA).

The body can only convert a small percentage of ALA into EPA and DHA so it is very difficult to obtain the recommended amounts of EPA and DHA to support heart health from flaxseed oil.

I’ve heard fish oil can go rancid. How do I know Res-Q 1250 omega-3 fish oil is fresh?

We bottle it in a dark brown glass container and add a propriety antioxidant blend consisting of rosemary extract, ascorbyl palmitate and natural tocopherols to keep the oil fresh.

Why does Res-Q 1250 omega-3 fish oil seem more expensive than other fish oils I’ve seen?

Often fish oil appears inexpensive because it contains low amounts of the omega-3s called EPA and DHA. To compare pricing it is important to determine how much you are paying for these specific ingredients.

Some supplements claim to have high amounts of omega-3 but when you look at the label the amounts of EPA and DHA are extremely low or not even specified.

When you do a comparison based on how much EPA and DHA is in a supplement, Res-Q 1250 is not more expensive. It is a good value because you pay less for the EPA and DHA omega-3s; plus you get more omega-3s in each serving compared to other brands.
