How am I getting the same benefits from taking the Res-Q 2500 TG mini softgel capsules as the Res-Q 1250 larger capsules?

Res-Q 2500 TG is produced in pure triglyceride (TG) form as opposed to the ethyl ester (EE) form of Res-Q 1250. Studies show that the TG form is readily absorbed by the body so the capsules are able to be formulated in a smaller size while still providing the same long-term health benefits as the EE form.*

Yes. Both products contain EPA and DHA omega-3s, whereas Res-Q Calamarine contains higher amounts of DHA than does Res-Q 1250. 

Are there any side effects in taking omega-3 fish oil?

Omega-3 fish oil is generally well tolerated. Everyone's body responds differently to natural supplements; results vary. Lower-grade fish oils have been known to cause upset stomach, and fishy breath. Better quality omega-3s often do not.

Can I give Res-Q 2500 TG to my child?

Children can also benefit from Res-Q 1250 omega-3.* Res-Q 1250 Liquid is easy to swallow. We recommend you discuss supplements with your pediatrician prior to giving them to your child.

Can I give Res-Q 2500 TG to my pets and how much do I give them?

Due to the natural lemon flavor in Res-Q 2500 TG is not recommended for cats and may be problematic for smaller breed dogs. We highly recommend you speak with your veterinarian before giving your pet any supplements.

Can I get enough omega-3 from eating fish?

Fish contain varying amounts of omega-3s, however, to get the amounts of omega-3 proven in research to support heart health you would have to eat pounds of fish every day.* While a few servings per week is beneficial fish do contain pollutants and heavy metals so caution is needed.

Can I get enough omega-3 from flax seed oil?

Flaxseed oil is not a good source of EPA and DHA the two most researched and beneficial omega-3s. It primarily contains polyunsaturated fatty acids such as alpha-linolenic acid (ALA).

The body can only convert a small percentage of ALA into EPA and DHA so it is very difficult to obtain the recommended amounts of EPA and DHA to support heart health from flaxseed oil.

I’ve heard fish oil can go rancid. How do I know Res-Q 2500 TG omega-3 fish oil is fresh?

Res-Q 2500 TG contains a proprietary antioxidant blend consisting of rosemary extract and natural tocopherols to keep the oil fresh within each softgel capsule.
